Jenni Finlay Promotions celebrates the Lone Star legend’s legacy with A Tribute to Townes concert during this year’s South By Southwest. Songwriting icons James McMurtry, BettySoo, Michael Weston King, Darden Smith, Kelsey Waldon, and Peter Rowan (many featured in Brian T. Atkinson’s I’ll Be Here in the Morning: The Songwriting Legacy of Townes Van Zandt ) will lead the event from 5-7 p.m. at Threadgill’s South World Headquarters, 301 Riverside Drive. Atkinson himself will be on hand to sign copies of I’ll Be Here in the Morning during the event. Expect unforgettable songs and stories.
